Daddy God, thank You for all that I have learned. I ask that you help me to become the wife that you designed me to be. I pray that You help me to forget the world’s standards for marriage and embrace what Your Word says about marriage and what a God honoring wife should be and do. I pray for strength and clarity. Thank You for always being with me, and never leaving me. I love You, Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

I stumbled upon this at just the right time. Stresses of the world, not to mention we are struggling in farming and raise a combined family of 9 children, were starting to eat away at our marriage. This devotional has put things back into perspective for me. I am eager to share this with my sister who is twenty and is planning on getting married in October. It will be great for her to have this fresh on her mind as she says “I do”, she will know what God expects her to do. Thank you so much. And most of all I thank God.
I believe the word you were looking for is helpMATE, not helpmeet. Think about it help MEET makes no sense. God created woman as man’s help MATE. Otherwise, great post.
