Week One

OK…here we go! LOL! I am “officially” starting today. You can read my “intro” here. :)

The Goal:

Lose 50 pounds and then reassess if I need to lose any additional weight.

Time: I want to do this by my next birthday; March 5. So, that gives me 7 months. Plenty of time to do this in a healthy manner! If I average about 1.5 pounds weight loss a week, I will make it!

The Plan:

Make use of the Wii Fit Blessing. LOL! –> My aim is to work out with it 5 days a week. However, if I can get 3 days, I will be happy!

I also plan to drink 1/2 my current body weight in ounces of water per day. I know from the past how important this is.

Finally, I refuse to “diet,” so, I will just be making better choices and limiting my portions. I will limit sugar as well. This method has always worked best with me!

Weekly Updates:

Each week (aiming for Mondays), I will post an update on my week, what I did and did not do. My failures and accomplishments. I will be completely honest. I am not going to post pics at this time. However, at the end of this journey, I will post a pic of my before and after jeans. LOL!

OK, so now it is your turn! LOL! Don’t make me do this alone! I want my Moms of Faith readers support, and I want to walk with you on YOUR journey! If you want to post about it on your blog, that would be awesome too! Fee free to post a link below to your post…make sure and send some link love our way! ;)

    Hey Lara,

I missed this somehow! ;) I started Monday, August 2nd. I do hope you are feeling much better.

    You’re not doing this alone!

I did something good this week. :D I got up every single morning and worked out. Boy do I feel better when I do this.

I’m going to say 30 pounds by March 1st. I’m going to be doing the same thing you are…no diet. Just watch my portions and WHAT I eat. And also drink a ton of water. Not sure if this will be half my weight n ounces or not. It’s a challenge for me to drink a lot of water. lol

So, yeah! I did good all week. I will be checking in every Monday. :-)

    Hey Lara,

I lost 4 pounds last week! yeah. :) I worked out every day and just watched my portions. Also, I don’t eat after 7PM. I only drink water after that time.

Hope I’m doing this correctly by commenting here.

How did your week go Lara? :-)

Thanks Lara, I appreciate any support I can get. :) The workouts are helping me a lot. You have to keep motivated, and it’s a bit challenging at times. Thanks so much for this site and topic Lara. :-)

So, I switched my working schedules I am now a 3rd shifter.. so my eating habits are not on a schedule. I try to only eat 3 “meals” a day as to when those meal are… i never know. I always try to eat my biggest meal at 6pm when my family eats dinner… but eating a meal at work… i also tend to get munchies when i get tired…. and then when i come home I sleep. I have a feeling my new schedule has a lot to do with my resistance to lose weight.. agghh…

I just found out about your challenge, but I too just began to release my extra weight. I have lost 5 pounds this week and I feel so energetic! My goal is to lose 60 pounds. I am on a nutritional cleansing program. I am filling my body with superfoods and healthful nutrients and already feel more energetic. I am not taking any drugs of any kind. I also have not had my beloved Pepsi (or any form of caffeine) since May 2009, of which I am hugely proud of myself. Good luck to each and every one taking this challenge!!
