The Daily – Obey the King!

I find that the road God has me on is a lonely one at times. It took many years before I began to realize that this is required when you really want to have deep intimacy with the Lord. The closer we get to Him and the more we learn His Word, the more we are able to see the sin in our lives and around us.

I have a very strong prophetic and discernment gifting. It sometimes halts me and makes me want to crawl in a hole and hide. You see, when you can see through others and the demonic forces guiding them, it can be a bit alarming. It is not something God wants me to just start spewing out either. God has not prompted me once to specifically call out the sin in another…yet. I am only prompted to pray for them. This is very difficult for me. Especially when I see such blatant error or sin.

He has, however, called me to write to the masses…

You see, I see things very black and white. There is NO gray. The Word is not gray. It presents life and death…not life, death and another way. Not life, death and oh, don’t worry about it.

Life and death.

It is very difficult to live a holy life in this world. However, when I see the Church using the Blood of Christ as license to sin, it really lights a fire in me. We are CALLED to be holy! We are CALLED to find our strength in Him and to walk a life of victory. We are NOT called to look like carbon copies of this world.

The Blood of Christ was shed so that we can have VICTORY OVER sin…NOT free reign TO sin!!

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life… – Deuteronomy 30:19

What is my point?

Get in the Word.

KNOW your Shepherd.

Repent of habitual and rebellious sin in your life.

WALK the walk!

The church is under the rule of a KING in a KINGDOM, not a democracy. There is ONE King Who sits on the throne and HE sets His decrees. We do not get a vote.

Yes, before you get your knickers in a bunch, there is forgiveness, mercy and profound love! However, hear me: be VERY careful not to use His Word as a license to remain in sin and to do as you please. All the grace, love and mercy is to HELP us to live holy lives…NOT a ticket to live lives filled with fleshly desires and sinful conduct. My Bible tells me from cover to cover (before, during and after Christ Resurrection) that living that way is a very dangerous way to live!

Repent, sisters. Repent of the sin in your life. Let go of rebellion. SEEK the KING first and above ALL. Turn from sin and follow…FOLLOW the One Who died for you!

Repent.

Obey the King!

Let me leave you with this…

Live as children of obedience to God; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires that governed you in your former ignorance when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel. But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy. And if you call upon Him as your Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, then you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence on the earth, whether long or short. You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from your forefathers, not with corruptible things such as silver and gold, But you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a sacrificial lamb without blemish or spot. It is true that He was chosen and foreordained (destined and foreknown for it) before the foundation of the world, but He was brought out to public view (made manifest) in these last days (at the end of the times) for the sake of you. – I Peter 1:14-20 (amplified)

Let’s pray;

Daddy God, open the eyes of Your people. Open our eyes. Help us to understand our purpose and the TRUE purpose of the Shed Blood of Your Precious Son. Help us to learn to live repentant and obedient lives. Help us to be quick to turn from sin. Help us to obey You, our King. Help us to live up to our FULL potential in YOU! Help us to be LIGHTS in this dark world and not hypocritical, crippled, carbon copies of it! Help us to stand out in the crowd and stand UP for YOU and YOUR glory! Open the eyes of our heart, Lord! In Jesus Mighty Name and by the Blood He shed, Amen!

Memorize: For God has not called us to impurity but to consecration; to dedicate ourselves to the most thorough purity. Therefore whoever disregards and rejects this, disregards not man but God, Whose very Spirit Whom He gives to you is holy (chaste, pure). – 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8 (amplified)
