The Daily – The PROMISE of His Presence!
My pastor gave an awesome message at church last night. One of the passages he used in his sermon was from the book of Exodus. It hit me right between the eyes, so I had to share what I learned with you!
The Promise of God’s Presence: Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” And the Lord said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” – Exodus 33:12-14 (NKJV)
Moses was tired, wary, scared and unsure of how he was going to accomplish the will of God. So, he went before Him and let the Father know his inner struggles. How did God respond?? With the promise of HIS presence and REST for Moses! It is the SAME for all of His children…including you and me!
He will NEVER ask us to do something or walk any road in life without walking along side us!
His Presence goes WITH Us
When you feel the walls closing in all around you, remember…
His Presence goes WITH You!
When you think you just cannot do it, remember….
His Presence goes WITH You!
When you are so filled with sorrow you do not think you can take another step, remember…
His Presence goes WITH You!
When it seems far too hard for you to do, remember…
His Presence goes WITH You!
When you think you have had all you can bear, remember…
His Presence goes WITH You!
Oh, and when you are too tired to deal with the trials of life…
Um…
HE WILL GIVE YOU REST!
My pastor gave an illustration of Daddy’s presence that I found to be perfect. Think about the way cars used to have one large bench style seat. Couples would sit close while driving. When they got in a quarrel, the lady may scoot away closer to her side of the car. It would make it pretty difficult for her beau to reach her and keep his loving arms around her. It is the same for our Daddy God. He is ALWAYS in the same spot. WE move away from Him for various reasons. However, HE never leaves us. HE is ALWAYS there! HE never forsakes. HE never stops loving us and he is ALWAYS ready for us to scoot back to the loving protection of His open arms!
In any and ALL circumstances…REMEMBER…
His Presence goes WITH You!
Let’s Pray;
Daddy God, thank You, thank You, thank YOU for never leaving me! Thank You that no matter what, You are always there for me. Thank You that Your arms are EVER ready to hold me! Thank You that even though I may wander off the path, You are always there waiting for me and always with open arms! NO other God is like You. You are an awesome, mighty, loving, compassionate and OMNIPRESENT God! You are the ONLY True God! I am honored to call You Daddy and that You called me from my mother’s womb! I love You, Daddy! THANK YOU for loving me!! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!
