The Daily – Always Near

Sometimes I feel like my life is one big trial. I mean just when I feel like I have overcome one, another is ready to pounce. Honestly, it can be quite defeating. There are days that I just want to curl up on the couch and wallow in self pity. It is a hard place to be–yet, I find myself choosing to be there far too often. It’s almost like I forget that my Redeemer is Ever-Present and has loving arms wide open to receive me.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways and gracious and merciful in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth. He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. – Psalm 145:17-19

I find this passage of Scriptures to be profoundly comforting when I am in the muck of self pity. I am reminded that the Creator of all things, the King of Kings, the Great I AM is ALWAYS near me. He loves me and NEVER leaves my side. If I ever feel distant, it is not because HE is not there, it is because I am not seeking…

It is because I forget that He not only loves me and bestows abundant mercies on me daily, He also HEARS me and SAVES me when I cry out to Him!

You see, there are times that Daddy must save us from US! He must grab us from the pits of our own minds and inner fears. The devil cannot be blamed for everything. Many times it is our own flesh and sinful nature that we must be saved from.

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. – Isaiah 43:1a-3b

Oh, how glorious it is to be HIS–the Almighty God, Who wants us to call Him Abba (Daddy), loves each of us so profoundly and considers us HIS very own. HE will not let anything snatch us from His love–and we should not allow our own doubts, fears, sin and pains to turn us from the ONLY ONE who TRULY loves us and and will fight FOR us!

My prayer;

Daddy God, thank You for loving me and calling me Your very own. Thank You that I am YOUR daughter. Help me to see You and seek You in the midst of my pain and trials. I need You, Daddy. I cannot even breath without Your help. Never let me go! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
