Trust With All Your Heart

The Lord has brought a wonderful new friend into my life. I am thankful for all of my friends, but this one is very special to me because she is one of the few people I know that really knows what it’s like to have a “special” child. She understands that our lives no longer revolve around shopping trips and dinner dates. Even baseball games and play dates have had to be put on hold for a time being. We get excited about babbles and smiles and even first steps from an 8 year old! We encourage each other to keep going and keep trusting in the One who holds our futures.My new friend has been on my mind a lot today because she is waiting on test results for her son. I know she is anxious and worried because these tests will supposedly tell her what her child is capable of doing. X Out – Hopeful for a Solution…

My teenage daughter has the type of skin that will be just fine and then bam, she gets hit with a terrible breakout! It affects her self esteem in a huge way. She is a pretty girl, and I have spent her whole life building her up and trying to train her to see herself as fearfully and wonderfully made--beautifully! Unfortunately, when she has a break out...all my years of training go out the window and all she can see are the blemishes on her skin. That is why I was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to test drive X Out!It is one step twice a day! I was very happy about that. She does not need a gazillion bottles and 25 steps to do this. What do the Road Runner, Porky Pig, and Yosemite Sam have in common?Come on now.  Think!Any ideas?Well, add a plate of spaghetti and a cup of sweet tea to the picture and you have last night’s dinner guests at First Church in Berkeley Springs.  Hott hubby Dan and I had the pleasure of dining in the company of a few Looney Tunes last night.  Add to that Sylvester the Cat, Pepe Le Pew, and Granny to our crazy table and you’ve got yourself one memorable night!Unfortunately, missing from the Looney Tune line-up was Bugs Bunny, himself!  You see, not long before First Church’s benefit dinner for the Guatemala mission team began, poor ‘ole Bugs was kidnapped.  Yes, kidnapped!  Right here in Berkeley Springs,W.
