Create in Me…

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. – Psalm 51:10

We live in such a crazy, self-indulgent society. It is so easy to walk in the flesh and forgo our spirits. It is so easy to watch those bad shows, read those tantalizingly sinful books, and listen to some juicy gossip. Unfortunately, that is not good for our walk, testimony; or beneficial to our calling.

We have been dealing with “self” since the beginning of time, and David understood this weakness. He was very familiar with ignoring what was right and giving into his flesh. His cry was one that we each face when we find ourselves in the muck of the sad results of our poor choices.

Create in me a CLEAN heart, O, God…

Yes, help us, Lord.

Help us to walk in the spirit and not gratify the lusts of the flesh!

Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Yes, Lord.

Help us to be loyal and steadfast in our walks. Help us to be a light in this dark and sinful world!

I hope that you will read this passage in several translations, and really pray over it. God wants so much to bless us and help us to walk in victory! You see, the price that was paid for us was very high, and the Blood our Beloved Jesus shed was not so that we can have a license to sin. It was shed so that we can have the power and VICTORY, OVER sin!

Father God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the conviction and Truth that it brings. Oh, Lord, my cry is that of David’s: create in me a clean heart. Renew a loyal and steadfast spirit in me, Father. May my life bring glory to Your worthy Name. May my life be a light that leads the lost towards Your abundant love and mercy. May my life be clay in Your hands. I love You, Lord. Thank You for loving me. In Jesus’ Mighty and Powerful Name, amen!

I am not religious however your point is exactly what I’ve been saying to people. How is anyone going to be happy in life if they are subjecting themselves to violence and crude behaviour. I believe everything in life happens for a reason. I lost my mom this year while I was 5 months pregnant with my third child. It was absolutely horrible. Even though it was the worst time of my life I delivered my own baby in my bathroom!! It was truly amazing and I believe my mom was with me the entire time. It was by far the easiest delivery and happiest I’ve ever been.
