Chere Williams

Greetings, Moms of Faith readers,

My name is Chere Williams and I have been given the wonderful opportunity to write a weekly column for all you Christian moms out there. I am a thirty-six year old single Christian mom to a beautiful and amazing three year old daughter, Anya. This is the beginning of a new journey for me, one that I am excited to undergo. For the first time since my daughter has been born I am going to be at home, due to the untimely loss of my job. Sure I should probably be shaking in my boots with the crumbling economy, but instead I am beaming at all of the new possibilities that lie ahead.

As the scripture states in Job 42:1-2 “I know you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.” So, press on, God’s plan will prevail. I am trusting God and following his will. Of course I am concerned about finding a job that will support us. However, the lord is good and through his blessing I am able to stay at home for the rest of the year without working, giving me precious time to spend with my daughter and to pursue my passion which is God and writing.

Being a Christian and a mom are my most significant roles in my life. I take my responsibility to God and to my child very seriously. My job is to be a godly parent that instills Christian morals and values in my daughter, so that she can lead an obedient and fruitful life. I find Moms of Faith to be a unique site, which brings together all types of Christian moms and provides them a platform to share their ideas, experiences, and faith. As women and servants of the Lord, I believe that we are here to share our stories, give advice to one another, and to have fellowship.

I know first hand the importance of having a support group. We all could use tips on how to make our household run smoother, or suggestions on how to deal with parenting or relationship issues. Having a community that is available to moms who all share in the same daily struggle is a blessing. There is so much that we can offer and learn from one another as women, as servants of the lord, and as mothers. My hope is that through my column I can share some of myself and my faith with you as you share yourself with me.

Blessings,
Chere

  1. Chere,

Thank you for sharing this new season in your life. Your story resonates with me. I too, am a newly single, mother of five girls. I work from home building my business, combining my passion for God and for writing. I also share your passion for being a Christian mom, instilling and imparting Christian values and the Word of God into our children. I can’t think of a greater blessing than to see my girls grow up and be the mighty woman of God He called them to be. Here is a link to a post I wrote recently that I think you may find interesting, if not useful. I too am in a new season similar to yours and this post talks about that. Enjoy!

Thanks Cherilynn! I went to the website you suggested and it is great. In the bible it says there is a season for everything so I am trying to embrace and accept it with positivity. It is great to meet another single mom who shares their views.

PS I will post the comment on your site also

    Blessings!
    Chere
