Rio Bible Study!

Yes, you read right! :D Twentieth Century Fox has a FABULOUS freebie for Moms of Faith! I am thrilled to share this with you and hope that you will use it as an opportunity to teach your children Biblical lessons through this awesome movie. I had the privilege of seeing Rio in the theater and a screener DVD. However, when I was asked to share a Bible study with my readers, I was a bit surprised. I mean I have never been asked by a large movie distributor that is not “exclusively faith based” to include a “Christian” Bible study with the movie. It was very refreshing, and I have to give HUGE props to Twentieth Century Fox for including Christian families in their film distribution efforts.

The Rio Bible study is actually very well done. It includes thought provoking questions to ask your children or focus group. It also has Scriptures and lessons to learn from different aspects of the movie. It really put the whole movie in a new perspective and caused me and my girls to think. The discussion questions are very good and include a Scripture reference for further spiritual development. I was pleasantly surprised and challenged to make more efforts to use movies as a way to teach my children Biblical principals.

Topics discussed are: Being a Christian means Taking up Your Cross, Seeking Forgiveness and Making Amends and Embracing the Struggle of Life.

Each one brings up a scene in the film, and offers discussion and Scriptural reference as well as “main lesson” point to be gathered from the discussion. Spectacular–really. I am quite impressed and THRILLED to offer this FREE Rio Bible Study to all of you! Yep, you read right…it’s FREE — courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox!
