Before I begin, I am not writing this post to debate, go over facts, opinions, pros, cons or anything like that. I am simply a woman … a Christian woman tired of seeing and hearing other Christians fighting and looking like morons because they insist on posting constant negatives. Newsflash: GOD KNOWS Obama is president…and ALLOWED it! (see Scripture below)
“Everything in the heavens and earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the Ruler of all mankind; Your hand controls power and might, and it is at Your discretion that men are made great and given strength” – I Chronicles 29:11-12
The truth is that there are pros and cons to any side you are on.
The truth is that if you are a child of the King of Kings, Obamacare should not have your feathers ruffled.
It is what it is. The fact is, it has been passed as law. Regardless of whether you think Obama is a socialist, a saint, or that his plan is crazy and unconstitutional–it is now law.
Please know that God is not surprised by any of this and is still VERY much in control.
The truth about Obamacare is…
We can bicker and fight about it on our blogs, Facebook accounts, twitter and the like… and leave even more of a bad representation of our loving Savior.
Or, we can pray, shut our mouths and actually VOTE what we believe. Arguing will do NOTHING.
But refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). Instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mild-tempered [preserving the bond of peace]; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong. – 2 Timothy 2:23-24
Does that mean lay down and die? Certainly not! However, as I mentioned, it is what it is–law. The best way to handle it is to pray, vote your beliefs, trust God and know that HE IS STILL on the throne.
Most importantly: stop arguing, back-biting, throwing insults and acting in a manner that makes our Lord look like a raging lunatic, rather than a loving and compassionate Savior. Arguing, posting mean spirited jargon and getting angry will change nothing. All that will breed is more arguing, more hate, more ill-will…and I am sorry, but that is NOT God’s Will–ever!
Let everything you do be done in love. – 1 Corinthians 16:14

Thank you! I agree that there are great and not so great aspects to most laws yet God is good always!
