The election is over and many who did not get the results they hoped for are fearful, apprehensive, saddened, and worried about the state of our great nation, The United States of America. Well, I am here to encourage you and pray!
God is in charge and HE is the ONE Who makes men great. So this is all part of HIS plan, America: “Everything in the heavens and earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your Kingdom. We adore You as being in control of everything. Riches and honor come from You alone, and You are the Ruler of ALL mankind; Your Hand controls power and might, and it is at Your discretion that men are made great and given strength.” – 1 Chronicles 29:11-12
Dear Lord, You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Nothing is a surprise to You. You are Mighty, Holy, All-Knowing, Ever-Present, and the giver of all good things. You Alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. I may not understand Your plan, but I know that YOUR ways and YOUR plans are far better than any I could create. I also know that You ALONE are what give men power and You Alone have put Barack Obama into power and You are the One who has kept him there. Right now, I humbly come before You and THANK YOU for Your wisdom, plan, and protection. I pray that You bless President Obama and his family. I pray that You place a hedge of protection around him, this nation, and our families. I pray that You give the man You placed in charge of this great nation wisdom and the courage to do what is right. I pray that You change his heart where it needs to be changed, and help him to be a good, kind, gracious, and merciful king to all the people he rules over.
I pray that you protect Your people and our freedom to worship Your Mighty and Loving Name. I pray that You bring peace over our hearts and help us to trust in YOU! I pray that we are careful with our words and that we exhibit self control. I pray that You help us to do the right things, and say the right things as we move into the days, weeks, months and years ahead. I pray that You remind us Who You are and to be mindful of how we represent our TRUE King to the world.
Finally, Lord, I thank You for all that You are, and all that You do for us each and every day. I pray that we never take for granted the many blessings that we receive, and the many freedoms we are afforded. I pray that we respond with love, dignity, mercy and forgiveness in all we do. I pray that we never forget the price that was paid for our salvation. I also pray that You remind us to show mercy and forgiveness to all, so that we may also RECEIVE mercy and forgiveness from You. I love You and trust You, Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. – Psalm 24:1

Amen and AMEN!!!! :) :) :)
Hi thanks for your words. I am little confused why you are disappointed in the results or think you didn’t get the right out come or are fearful or whatnot. If you believe GOD is in charge, then didn’t GOD select the President who is the best? That is what the election shows. GOD chose Obama over Romney. All is well.
Hi, I joined this website recently because i needed a place where I could consult and talk to believers in Christ. I was going through something at 2am came here to see if there was a word of encouragement and I see a negative political message about our president. It was followed by a beautiful prayer. The message was not necessary but the prayer should be first. The scriptures tell us that the heart of the King is in the hands of Lord.
Kay, I am NOT in fear. I am speaking to those who ARE. I have seen a LOT of people very wary and upset, so I was trying to encourage… I think I stated that in the post. :)
LeAndrea, I am not sure what you are talking about. There was NO negative. It was to encourage those who ARE fearful… and there are people who worry about our country become socialistic. Not sure what you mean by “negative political message” ??
Seriously??? Lord have mercy, people LOOK for things to get offended by!
Hello,
I have just now read your post and find it very encouraging. I don’t know how anyone can say that you insulted anyone. It sounded to me like you were just asking God to give him these qualities, which I’m sure you would have said if it
had been Romney that won.
That’s all I have heard too, that our country is in trouble because of President Obama, and I agree with the Scriptures, God knows what He is doing, we don’t.
Thank you and God bless you,
Diane
