Freezer Cookie Dough Bites Recipe

Cuisine: Dessert

Ingredients
  • 1 Stick Unsalted Butter
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tbsp. egg substitute (I used mayonnaise, trust me it worked- or you can use sour cream, Greek yogurt, or even applesauce)
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • *optional additions are ½ cup sweetened coconut, ½ cup oatmeal, or ½ cup pecans
Instructions
  1. First, cover a plate with foil. Your freezer cookie dough bites will come off easily if you put them on a foil-covered plate, and while you can use whatever size dish fits into your freezer, mine only accommodates a dinner plate.
  2. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a standing mixer or in a large bowl and mix for about a minute,
  3. then slowly add the vanilla, the egg substitute, and the dry ingredients.
  4. Try and make a small dough ball out of the dough, and if it feels too sticky, add a tablespoon of flour at a time until the consistency is thicker. You want to be able to roll the little dough balls in your palms, about the size of a whopper candy or a small marshmallow.
  5. Place the dough balls on the foil-lined plate and freeze them for at least 4 hours with saran wrap over the top.
  6. If you plan on using them that day, only take them out about thirty minutes before you use. But if you're wanting to keep them as an on-hand sweet treat, simply take them off the plate, stick them in a plastic baggy, and keep them in the freezer for whenever you need a bite!
