Make Soap as a Fun Craft to do with Your Kids
Soap making can be a fun project to do with your kids. It will get the creative juices flowing AND maybe get them clean too! LOL!!.
Simple Soap Making
What you need for soap making
- Colorless bars of natural or fragrance free soap
- Essential oils of your choice to scent soap. Examples; Lavender, rose oil, citrus or mint.
- Food coloring
- Vitamin E oil
- Blender
- Soap molds or cookie cutters
- Double Boiler
- Wax paper
Grate soap in a blender and melt it in a double boiler. Add oils and coloring to suit your preference. You can add toys or other items to soap to make it fun (let the kids have fun with it). Add water until the soap becomes thin enough to pour into a mold. Let molds sit for about 48 hours and then release onto wax paper.
Note: if you use cookie cutter, then you will want to spread the soap out as if you are making sugar cookies! ;)
Making soap with your kids will be a fun and rewarding experience that you will remember for years to come.Once you get into the groove, you can make it on a regular basis. Making homemade soap can also be a frugal way to give a special birthday or holiday gift as well. You can make it s tradition. Your friends will LOVE it and so will your kids friends! Have FUN with it!!!
Happy Soap Making!
