Avoiding Scars
I have found that we may not be able to eliminate scars all together, however, we can limit the appearance of scars greatly and eliminate some. When your child has a cut or scrape, use a bandage and a neosporin type of ointment. Do NOT use peroxide. All that does is kill the good bacteria along with the bad. You should keep the wound moist with the ointment and bandaids. NOT allowing it to ever become a scab. Once the wound is healed enough where you know it will not scab, put pure vitamin e oil on it daily until you notice the scar diminished or significantly lighter. It has worked for me and my kids, so, maybe it will work for you! :)
