OK, on to this week’s Mommy tip…

Chore Busters

Do you have kids that do everything in their power to avoid chores… AKA – Teenagers??? LOL Seriously, when they are little, they LOVE to help Mommy… then a few years later… the griping begins! Well, my beloved teenager has come up with a fabulous idea for ME to help HER do her chores. So, I HAD to share!

Put little prizes (money, candy, etc.) in areas where if they do the chore PROPERLY, they will find it. For example, if you have told them to clean the counters AND behind things, you could put a little something behind the cookie jar. If they are doing the chore correctly, they will find it! However, you need to make sure you do not put them in the same places, otherwise they may just grab it and GO! LOL!

This can be simple and cheap. A quarter, piece of candy, nothing extravagant. Just a little, “I appreciate your effort” token.
