The Armor of God – Shield of Faith
Ephesians 6:16 (NIV)
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Faith – We did a series on faith in the past. You may want to go back and review…
The shield of faith. A position. You are a warrior. You are chosen by God. You are in a battle like no other. You have already been given the victory. That is where the faith part comes in. It takes faith to really KNOW this.
You must believe what God says. Jesus already won the victory. The enemy will spend all eternity in a bottomless pit. However, before he gets put there, he will do two things…
One – he will do everything he can to bring as many souls with him as he can.
Two – he will do everything he can to defeat you.
He knows the power that you have and the victory that you have already been given to you. He is VERY aware. The problem is that many of us do not realize it, and that is where he comes in and brings defeat, hopelessness, and lack of victory.
If we would just lay hold of what has already been given to us…if we would just believe…
WE WOULD HAVE THE VICTORY!!!
Pick up your shield of Faith and BELIEVE what Daddy says!
Let’s Pray,
Daddy God, Thank You that the victory is already mine. Thank you that the devil has already been defeated. Help me to remember this when life gets hard. Help me to pick up my shield of faith and blow away those worthless darts. Thank You. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
