Intro: A great film for the whole family to share.

Review: We watched it as a family and I was really happy with the film. It really was a great story. I do not want to give a lot away and I would recommend that you do not read the back cover of the movie. If you do, you will know too much!

The main character, Cameron (Andrew Lawrence) learns some tough lessons in this film. The best part is that he actually LEARNS something. The message is very positive and a really good story for children to see play out as well. It allows for wonderful conversation after the film.

On the negative side: The only negatives…and I use the term lightly because if you compare it to most films in this day and age, this is quite “light weight” in the negatives.

Back to negatives…there is a make out scene, strong personality moments between father and son, and party scene. There is also a scene where a character is fatally injured and that may be scary for younger viewers. However, they do not show too much and my 6 year old was fine. She just had some questions.

Conclusion: Miles from Nowhere is a heartwarming film that reminds you how much grace we have been given and to forgive yourself! There are some great moments that allow for some meaty conversation if you have teenagers as well.

I think it was fabulous movie and think your family may enjoy it as much as we did! Hey, we need to seize every opportunity we can to spend quality time with our children while we have them in our lives!

That’s too funny that they reveal too much of the story on the back cover!

Thanks for stopping by the Cellulite Investigation, Lara. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s not a fan of Photoshop :)
