Week Four and Five
I did not get to post last week because I was very ill…I do not remember being so sick recently. I really think I had food poisoning or the baddest little stomach bug this side of the cosmos! I could not even walk to the bathroom! I was literally CRAWLING!
You would think that if there was any justice in this cruel world I would have lost at least 5 pounds during my ordeal…well, you would be wrong … VERY wrong! Sadly, I only lose 1.5 pounds in the past TWO weeks! It *could* be from all the laying down I did…however, I hardly ate, so it really is true what I wrote in my book about the body going into “starvation mode.”
Geeze!
I think I will be doing double time with my work outs this coming week!
Anyway, how did the past couple weeks go for you??
(not sure what all this is about?? click here)
Oh, and do not forget the “Ongoing Journey to Thin” ebook is only $10. Click Here for more details about this valuable resource.
Oh my Lara…sounds like you were really sick! :( However, I hope you are back to yourself now.
The last time I had a stomach bug I lost 6 pounds! Although, in a weeks time, most of it was back on. lol
Anyway…I have not done so well the last 2 weeks. We had a baptism party and also went out to eat a couple of times with family. I know excuses! LOL Also, there were 2 days where I did not workout. I did lose 1 pound though, so it makes it a total of 5 pounds lost for me.
I look at it this way, I could have gained it all back! I’ve been good this week with my workouts. :D
I’ve been getting up at (4 AM) this week to get my body used to my new schedule that will be in full swing starting the day after Labor day. It’s been a challenge! I’ve been falling asleep in the evening watching TV. LOL
Cheers to better weeks ahead for us both! :-)
Ah, yes, the weight loss journey is one with peaks and valleys. I stepped on a scale recently and my weight had popped back up nearly to what it was before I had made any noticeable progress 1-2 years ago.
My jeans still fit, though, so perhaps it’s muscle weight. Um, it’s not! I need to get back into my weight routine I got into in physical therapy awhile back.
But the fact is, we can keep working at it and praying 2 Tim. 1:7 – For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
I truly have noticed that the more I’ve invited God into the process, the more He’s brought my goals and desires to mind at the right time. Still, it’s work. :) But it is do-able!
Keep smiling, ladies!
OK. I’m new here….and just jumping on this bandwagon. I feel like I’ve tried a ton of stuff over the past year….and yet….I am. Nothing has changed.
SO! I ordered the book. And I hope to make some friends who understand the journey.
I’m Wendy, btw. I have 3 daughters and 50 pounds to lose….
Just got home from the gym and I need to get a shower!
I am new to the Get Fit Challenge. I am 32 years old with 2 children and have just become unhappy with my body and know I am the only one that can change things. My problem is finding the time to work out. I work full time 8-5 and by the time I am done spending time with my husband and kids in the evening and get my daily chores done I’m exhausted (the story of every mother’s life) and the last thing on my mind is a work out.
I know quite complaining and I am trying to that’s is why I am taking the challenge to become more fit and happier with my body.
I just ran across this website. I love this challenge and want to join. I am a SAHM to 4 boys. I have been able to successfully lose weight before by exercising and watching what I eat. I am a big fan of no actual “diet.” I will just be watching my portion control, and eating healthier, and adding exercise to my daily routine!
