Faith and Business 101: Tips to Help you Choose a Direct Sales Business
Choosing a Direct Sales business is a popular choice for many people who are looking for ways to earn an unlimited income from home. How to choose the right Direct Sales home business is another matter. I am including several very useful tips that may make this difficult choice easier for you.
7 Tips to Help you Choose the Right Direct Sales Company
Must Love. First and foremost, choose what you love to do. Working your home business shouldn’t feel like work. When you have a passion for what you’re doing, promoting and talking about it comes naturally.
The Big Picture. Look for company stability. How long has the company been in existence? Many people jump into brand spankin’ new businesses thinking they’ll have an advantage in building their business and making tons of money. Not so. New businesses go through a lot of growing pains. Things change constantly. Some don’t even make it passed their first birthdays. Before you jump in and start investing your money and time, be absolutely sure it’s what you want to take that risk. You will also want to make sure it is a company that is promoting products you believe in and do not go against your core values.
Start up Cost. Having a Direct Sales business means there are start up costs. Some investments are small and some are a bit more. Some may be free, but be wary that free won’t get you very far. With any home business this is expected and it’s not unusual at all.
Show me the Money. This is important and every Direct Sales company is different. Look at the compensation plan carefully and make sure you understand how it works. Is it worth your time and effort? Contact the company if you require further explanation.
Minimums. Many companies have a monthly quota or monthly volume that you are required to maintain in order to remain an active rep. Make sure you understand this as well. If you miss your quota, it’s possible you could drop from your level and that could result in earning fewer commissions. Do they have a grace period? Is the minimum reasonable and doable for you?
Promoting Rules. Make sure you understand how you can promote your Direct Sales business. Some companies, for instance, disallow mentioning their company name or disallow consultants to create their own websites. Make sure you are completely “in the know” about the company rules. Ignorance is NOT bliss when it comes to business.
Choose Carefully. Create a comparison chart to help you narrow down the company that is right for you. Having your own Direct Sales business is exciting and profitable, and it will serve you well if you make the right decision by going with the right company.
I hope these tips help those of you interested in direct sales, become a work at home Mom with a great company.
