Let’s pray:
Father, God, we come before You today in awe of Your great love for us. You are such an awesome and mighty God. You are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. We adore You as the Creator of the Universe, and the lover of our souls. We know that You, alone, are all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere at once–nothing is beyond Your reach. We thank You for all the many blessings in our lives that You grant us each day–both big and small. Thank you that we still have the freedom to worship You in this country. Thank You for the great mercies that You bestow on us every day. We love You, Lord, and we thank You.
Lord, we humbly come before You, and plead for the senators of our country. We ask that You send Your angels to protect them, and their families today–and every day. We ask that You bless each of them, and that You help them to make wise choices for this nation. Where there are wrong motives, and wrong choices, Lord,we ask that You pierce their hearts, and cause right things to be done. Father God we beg You to intervene, and help our leaders to do the right things for this country. We thank You for hearing our prayer, Lord.
Lord please help us to remember to pray for this great nation every single day, and to seek Your face even more often than that! Thank You, Lord. Thank You so much for loving us, and hearing everything we ask of You. You are amazing and awesome and mighty. We trust You, Lord. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, amen.
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority, so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, Who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. – 1 Timothy 2:1-4
