TradeWinds Island Grand Resort on St. Pete Beach is a GREAT Family-Friendly Resort

I love the West Coast of Florida. Every city that I have stayed in has always been fabulous, and St. Pete is no different. However, I was even more impressed by the hotel that we stayed in: TradeWinds Island Grand Resort. It was located right on St. Pete Beach—literally steps away.

From the moment we arrived at TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, the service was awesome. Our room was not quite ready, so they made sure that we were taken care of, and gave us free Starbucks coupons while we waited. YES, there is a Starbucks IN the hotel. Yay! We did not wait long for our room. We ordered our coffee, and the room was ready before we could drink it all!

We stayed in a suite with a gulf view, and let me tell you, I could have lived there for a very long time! It was that cozy and wonderful! The view alone was so incredibly beautiful; I could not stop looking out the window every time we were in our room! It was breathtaking!

Note on picture above: if you looks to the left in the water, you can see the “water park” that they have right IN the gulf! It is AMAZING!

I was also impressed by the grounds. They were very pretty and well kept. There was lots of beautiful foliage, palm trees, flowers, two sweet resident swans, Pearl and Sandy, and a lazy river waterway that you could meander down on one of their little paddle boats. It was simply gorgeous.

TradeWinds Island Grand Resort on St. Pete Beach is so much more than your average hotel.

It is a place that caters to both the family—and adult life. There is a plethora of activities, several pools—including a SHADE pool for moms like me who are not always in the mood to be out in the sun, but still want the kids to blow off steam! I LOVED the shade pool!

They have kid’s activities, entertaining shows, kid’s programs, a huge slide–with THREE slides on it, a water park IN the ocean that I showed you earlier, water sports, and so much more! My little one had a BLAST on the slide you see below. She wanted me to make sure that when you go, tell your kids that the middle slide is the BEST one because it has water puddles and goes down faster than the other two. Very important information to know! ;)

And, for adults there is an adult only pool, a tiki bar, live music, hammocks to relax in, and a great night life! (Check out that AWESOME hammock in the picture below. There were several located around the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort property!)

Even the food was delicious! We had Italian, Beef O Brady’s, and a great deli with yummy sandwiches and breakfast items.

It really has just about everything you could need or want. We stayed and never had to leave, because everything was right there – on property! It is an amazing place to take the family, or just get away for a romantic weekend with your special someone!

If you ever go to St. Pete Beach, Florida, TradeWinds Island Grand Resort is the place to stay!

I went to Tradewinds when I was in 6th grade and it was one of my fave vacations. Back then it had the lazy river waterway, but none of the other fancy-schmancy features! I’ll have to plan a trip with my family! Your post brought back GREAT memories!
