7 Simple Beauty Tips For Spring
Replace your cosmetics. Give yourself a fresh start by discarding the cosmetics you’ve used all winter, and replacing them with brand new products. This will ensure you’re not using expired products; and will give you an opportunity to add spring and summer colors to your makeup collection. Rich eye shadows, rosy blushes, vibrant lipsticks, and bright nail polishes are all great ways to add pops of colors to your beauty bag.
Exfoliate your skin with a homemade body scrub. Banish dry, dull, itchy skin by using a homemade exfoliating scrub. Combine ½ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup olive oil, and ¼ cup honey. Stir to combine. Once in the shower, apply the mixture to your skin and massage in a circular motion. Rinse off with warm water to reveal healthy, soft, glowing skin. Be sure to rinse the shower thoroughly when done, as the oil can make the surface very slippery.
Perk up your eyes. Because moms are so busy, many of us don’t get enough rest. One of the most obvious signs of sleeplessness is puffy eyes. Use teabags to reduce the puffiness. Steep tea bags in hot water for ten minutes. Remove the tea bags from the hot water, place them on a plate, and allow them to cool in the refrigerator for ten to fifteen minutes. Lie down, close your eyes, and place the teabags on your eyes for twenty minutes.
Put your best face forward. An oatmeal facial scrub is a fantastic way to freshen and brighten your face. Combine ½ cup ground oatmeal, ¼ cup honey, ¼ cup plain yogurt, and the contents of a vitamin E tablet. Mix thoroughly until a smooth paste forms. Smooth the mixture over your face, leave on for ten minutes, and wipe off with warm water and a soft washcloth. Store leftovers in a sealed container inside the refrigerator–up to a week.
Show your lips some love. Soften dry, chapped lips by using this gentle lip scrub. Combine ¼ teaspoon brown sugar, ¼ teaspoon olive, and ¼ teaspoon honey. Use your finger to spread the mixture gently back and forth over your lips a few times. Remove the scrub with a warm, damp washcloth and then apply your favorite lip balm. Your lips will feel much softer, and your lipsticks will glide on much more smoothly.
Drink more water. Water helps keep our skin moisturized. It also washes away toxins in our bodies, improves our metabolism, and aids in digestion. Try increasing your water intake by drinking a glass with every meal and every snack. If plain water doesn’t excite you, consider flavoring your water with cucumbers, a variety of sliced fruits, or a few herbs.
Spray on a new scent. Spring is a fresh and vibrant season, so allow your perfume to reflect that sunny sentiment. The scent of a new perfume may put a little spring in your step and elevate your mood. Embrace the season by choosing a fruity, floral, or clean scent that will make you smile and keep you smelling wonderful all day long.
