As a busy, homeschooling, work at home Mom and wife, I find eating healthy to be difficult to manage. However, there are a few tips that I have discovered over time that certainly help! The Daily – She Did
Yesterday, I shared with you my struggle with trusting God with my money. I also told you I would share a story that had such a profound affect on me, I am still moved to tears as I think about it... One of our pastors shared a video from a missionary in Africa with us before offering recently. It was about SO MUCH MORE than money though! I tried to find the actual video Online to share with you and could not. I have left messages for a few people at church to find it, so when I do, I will post it here for you to see with your own eyes. In the mean time, I will share the story I saw. The Daily – Temple of the Holy Spirit
After I had my first child my weight woes began. However, when the second child came I lost control and became overweight. I felt bad all the time. I was tired, my knees hurt and I was always hot. All through this I could feel the Lord telling me that I was out of balance in this area of my life. I would turn to food for comfort instead of Him. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT) We are meant to be in balance in all areas of our lives. We serve a God who is the ultimate balance. He sustains the planets!
