Feeling insignificant, and not understanding our value and purpose as children of the Almighty God has become an epidemic in the Body of Christ... and in my own life. So, I have set out to search God's Word and find out my significance. Last lesson we discussed Salt and Life. Now, we will talk about branches... You are Significant: You are Branches on the True Vine I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. You are Significant: Salt and Light
Life can sometimes beat us down, and we make forget that we are significant. Well, I would like to spend a little time talking about our worth. I wish I could tell you that I have mastered this, but I cannot. In all honesty, I am studying this more for me than you! I pray that it blesses us all and reminds us just how important we are! Those Christians who DO spread the word are in many cases not disciplining those they have converted. We ALL need accountability and to be taught. Please understand that, yes, when you get "saved," your spirit man awakens and you are convicted when you sin. However, a baby Christian needs guidance just like a child does. If they are not given proper instruction they may fall into error...or fall away all together. For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come. - 1 Timothy 4:8 We NEED to not only disciple others, we need to BE … [Read more...]
