Why didn't Mom tell me how bad this thing called menopause could get?! Hmm...probably because she went through the process of it relevantly smooth. Mom just had a few bad headaches, (to my recollection). And she had her last cycle at the age of 44. Well of course, I thought I would follow suit and inherit her good fortune. Wrong!! I did however put an end to my heavy cycles since my OB/GYN performed the oblation. And thank God for small favors!! Since the beginning of March, I am cycle free. Yeah! But wait, it's not all coming up roses for me now, far from it! I'm experiencing the effects of menopause in the worst way. The hot flashes I can handle. Don't get me wrong; they are NOT fun. LOL. However, it's the depression and anxiety that I'm having major issues with. Today is a bad day. As I woke up, I did … [Read more...]
Love Thy Neighbor
Really? Do I have to? Oh, come on God! This commandment is so hard. Surely, you don’t mean it, do You? “Love my neighbor!” Well, if you could see my neighbor, maybe You would understand. I just thought it would be fun to have a cup of coffee with you after you walked a half mile through the … [Read more...]

Nothing extraordinary about this seeming as how Caleb has always drawn people to him. We got our food, set down, prayed, and when I looked up, this little lady was heading out the door. But she stopped, put her finger in the air as if to say “I almost forgot” and made a beeline to our table. She said she hoped she would not offend us, but that the Lord had laid it upon her heart to pray for our family. So right there in a crowded Burger King, the Holy Spirit came over this precious little lady as she begin to pray for our family that she didn’t even know! But what she said next would shape our lives … [Read more...]
