May I never be this person! May my life never be one filled with disobedience, disloyalty and rebellion towards my God. This person is one who habitually WALKS IN sin! This is far more than a stumbler. These are those who profess to know God, but their life and deeds say otherwise. We must be careful, however, that we do not fall into the lie that makes us believe we can never become this person. The Daily – Obey the King!
I find that the road God has me on is a lonely one at times. It took many years before I began to realize that this is required when you really want to have deep intimacy with the Lord. The closer we get to Him and the more we learn His Word, the more we are able to see the sin in our lives and around us. I have a very strong prophetic and discernment gifting. It sometimes halts me and makes me want to crawl in a hole and hide. You see, when you can see through others and the demonic forces guiding them, it can be a bit alarming. It is not something God wants me to just start spewing out either. God has not prompted me once to specifically call out the sin in another...yet. I am only prompted to pray for them. The Flesh is a Liar
I've been thinking about my spiritual journey lately. My walk with God hasn't always been easy and to be quite honest I still fall a lot. I'm amazed by the battle between the flesh and the spirit and how so often the flesh is victorious. The flesh is such a powerful force and I see why the bible tells us to pray without ceasing. We can never get too comfortable. Just when you do bang! The flesh is back in full force, telling you "it's okay, just this one time, a little lie can't hurt, or are you going to let them get away with that!" All of the old bad habits that lie dormant when you're in the spirit are alive and kicking in the flesh. I'm frustrated how easily I can slide back into certain bad habits knowing the end result. In the midst of my decision my spiritual self is saying, "don't even think about it!." When I refuse to heed the warning that's when the big trouble begins.
