I cannot get my mind off of the Scripture I gave as a memory verse in our last lesson. I find it so profound... "I have carried you since you were born; I have taken care of you from your birth. Even when you are old, I will be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you." - Isaiah 46:3-4 I am amazed! He Carries, Saves and Rescues Too?? As if loving us and sending His Son was not enough. He tells us, His beloved children, that He has and will carry us! He has and will SAVE us! He has and will sustain & rescue us! WHOO HOO! What an awesome, mighty, loving, wonderful and amazing God we have! His love has no bounds. His grace is never ending. His arms are ever ready! Whom have you to fear or dread?? For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like his Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. The Daily – Temple of the Holy Spirit
After I had my first child my weight woes began. However, when the second child came I lost control and became overweight. I felt bad all the time. I was tired, my knees hurt and I was always hot. All through this I could feel the Lord telling me that I was out of balance in this area of my life. I would turn to food for comfort instead of Him. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT) We are meant to be in balance in all areas of our lives. We serve a God who is the ultimate balance. He sustains the planets! He created ecosystems that are so complex and perfect that when they get even a tiny bit out of balance they can be destroyed. He also created our bodies and they are to be kept in balance. Why?
