It always amazes me when I see Christians insulting, backbiting, arguing, being mean spirited and acting rudely to one another. Not only does it discredit anything each of them is trying to say, it also makes the Body of Christ as a whole look like blabbering idiots. It is childish, fleshly and disobedient to God's Word. But refuse, shut your mind against, have nothing to do with trifling, ill-informed, unedifying, stupid controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome. Instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mild-tempered, preserving the bond of peace; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong. - 2 Timothy 2:23-24 (amplified) I am really just so tired of seeing and hearing about the constant quarreling in the Body. The Daily – Bickering
Lately, I have been seeing more and more bickering, conflicts, dissensions and squabbles among the Body of Christ. Some of the disagreements can get downright nasty. I do not think that it should be that way. If we see our brother or sister in error, all we can do is first, try and tell them one on one; then, before a leader; and finally, his/her church. If we have done all this, and still no change, then we need to wash our hands of the situation and pray for them. Period. Public bashing, accusations, name calling, public displays of anger, arguing points and criticizing others is NOT how Christians should be behaving. Seriously, we act like a bunch of little children sometimes. We argue about who is right and who is wrong. This one is in error and that one is whacked out. Who do we think we are??
