The award winning book, Emily Lost Someone She Loved is not only one of the best children's books I've had the privilege of reading; it is an incredibly touching, and empathetic approach to revealing the deep sorrow, and struggle that a child feels when they lose someone they love. I do not want to give too much away, however, I will say that I let my daughter read it, and she was very moved. She told me that she loved how they showed Emily's life before the loss, and then how realistic everything turned when she lost her loved one.
