The Daily – I have to be Honest with You…

I am struggling.

I am in a spiritual battle.

Please forgive me for being gone. Please know that I am never MIA from writing my Daily for no reason. It usually means to pray for me because life is throwing me some curve balls!

I have been going through one trial after another lately and dealing with some major issues that have affected me on a very deep level. Things from the present and some past pains and fears stemming from them are being placed front and center. I have been struggling–a LOT!

As I sat down to write, I asked God to help me with this. He knows my struggles. He knows how hard it is for me right now. Yet, I know He does not want me to abandon writing from my heart. I hope that you are blessed…

Anyway, as I sat down, He gave me a Scripture…

Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. – Isaiah 43:1b-3a

Oh, how I love my God. He is such an awesome, loving, caring, forgiving, merciful and MIGHTY King! None can compare…NOT ONE! He has given me hope with this passage. He has encouraged me and again revealed our intimate relationship.

He knows me.

He knows you.

He loves us.

We are His children and He longs to comfort us and walk WITH us. How many times have I found myself what seemed like miles away from Him–by my own choice. All the while, He is right there beside me–waiting. Waiting for me to remember that HE is here and HE WILL protect, help and guide me through any and ALL circumstances. Oh, that I would remember this when fear creeps into my heart and past pains try to chisel away any progress made.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.

Oh, Daddy…

When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.

Yes, it sure feels like I am drowning–but YOUR Word does not lie!

When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

Praise the LORD!

He loves us and knows us so profoundly and intimately that we cannot possibly fathom His great love for us. That is why it is so very important to read His Word so that we can be reminded. That is why it is so important to have accountability and close friends so that they can encourage us, and hold up our arms as Aaron and Hur helped Moses hold up his arms. (Exodus 17)

Thank you for reading.

My prayer;

Daddy God, I need You. I am weary and weak. I am in such pain and turmoil right now and some days feel the weight far more than I am able to bear. Help me to rise up and stand. Help me to hear Your voice above the noise, and to remember what YOUR Word says about me and my circumstances. I love You, Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Dig Deeper:

Look up and study the following passages.

  • 1 Peter 5:6-7
  • Isaiah 40:28-31
  • Psalm 42 (whole chapter)
  • Psalm 119:81-88

Memorize: Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.

Lara, you are an inspiration! God IS using you all the time but especially when you are feeling pressured and feeling the weight of life’s struggles…the fact that you make yourself DO this even when you’re going through such hardship is a true testament to the Holy Spirit dwelling WITHIN you. He carries us when we’re weak and He is definitely carrying you now. Thank you for being such a light to all of us through His Word and personal encouragement. I truly appreciate your sincerity and honesty within your posts. God bless you!!
