Getting our kids in the kitchen is good for them. It is also a good way for them to spend some quality time with us and for busy Moms to still accomplish a task. It can be a win win situation.
By teaching our kids to cook we are preparing them for adulthood. Ask them what types of things they would like to learn to cook. Make sure you give the littler ones age appropriate choices, of course.
Cooking can be a lot of fun for the kids, but it also gives them the opportunity to increase their learning skills too. For example, math would be involved when having to measure ingredients, cooking time from start to finish, and so on.
Cooking with our kids can be a great opportunity to spend quality time with them. Cooking with Mom encompasses not only learning how to cook, but it also encourages conversation and healthy communication opportunities. The result is a great bonding experience with your children and a fabulous dinner and for the entire family to enjoy.
