Sermon on the Mount – Adultery – Sexuality is out of Control in today’s Society

Matthew 5:27-30

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Everywhere you look is skin and sex. Companies use sex to sell everything from cars to hamburgers. There’s even a paper towel commercial that has sexual undertones!

Sexuality is OUT OF CONTROL!

It is crucial that we guard this area of our lives. Our precious children are growing up in a world where sex is common and excepted among teenagers. And skin sells. They must be trained up properly. They must have righteousness modeled before them. If they see us watching trash and reading questionable material, they will follow in our foot steps. If we let them listen to sexually charged music, how can we expect them to hold out until marriage.

If we want morality back in this country, it MUST start in the home. In the homes of the Elect. In the homes of the Body of Christ.

Until we make a stand and choose Truth over this world, the enemy will continue to rob our children of their innocence and demoralize our entertainment.

Are you willing to take the road less traveled?

Are you willing to let go of your carnality?

Are you willing to really walk the narrow path?

Let’s Pray,

Daddy God, I love You. Forgive me for the times that I have compromised and put my flesh before You. Forgive me for the times that I set a poor example for the children that You loaned me to train properly. I want my life to reflect You and Your Truth. Help me to make better choices for myself and my children. Help me to walk the road that Your Son paved with His Blood. Help me to train my children by example to live out loud for You. Thank You. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
