Diligence

The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. Proverbs 21:5

Hello Moms of Faith. It’s great to be back with you! Nicole, my wonderful assistant, did a great job while I was gone, didn’t she? Thank you Nicole! You are such a blessing!

This week I want to talk to you about diligence. A spiritual and business mentor of mine has often encouraged me to be diligent and that God will reward. If you’re anything like me—working around the clock on my business for nearly 3 years—you may be wondering if the rewards will ever come.

I have 2 things for you to consider if you have been diligently working on your home business with little success.

1) Is this business something you believe in? (you’re passionate about it, you believe its what God wants you to do)
2) OR—are you just looking for something to help pay the bills?

If you answered yes to number 1—then stick with it and be diligent! God is working through you and will bring about good in what you are doing! (Romans 8:28) Guard your family time and make sure you are working within your budget (not spending more than you’re making on your business). You may consider taking on a short-term temporary position elsewhere to help with overhead until you can make a go of it.

If you answered yes to number 2—then you need to take a hard look at what you’re doing. Is it costing more money than its bringing in? If so, stop doing it! That is not helping your family. And if you’re not passionate about it, it will not be sustainable over time. Pray for wisdom and ask God to lead you into something that you believe in that will help pay the bills.

Until next time…
