The Daily – Do you know??

Life is hard. We go through a lot in this life…loss, betrayal, disappointments, financial struggles, and the list goes on and on and on. However, one thing that never changes is God’s love for us. Yes, we may lose a loved one or a relationship. Yes, we may go through a major trial. Yes, we have to deal with the sadness and disappointments of life every day. Yet, through it all…We ARE Loved.

Who am I to question why things happen?  Just read Job 38:1 – 42:6 to find out how God feels about that! LOL!

Seriously, He is here for us and loves us with a love that we cannot possibly fathom. Unfortunately, the sin in this world is what brings the chaos….NOT God. God is not to blame for our problems. God is God and it is to HIS discretion what He allows and does not allow. However, it is in no way “His fault” that we have issues.

When I had a miscarriage several years back, I had the opportunity to blame God or accept  it. It was very hard. I felt so incredibly empty and sad. It was a profound sadness that I cannot compare to any other event in my life.

Did I blame God?

No.

Did I ask why?

Of course.

Did I beg Him to stop it as it was happening?

YES!

Did I get my wish?

No.

After the initial shock, I began to process the loss. I realized that God’s purpose was still relevant. I realized that God was still on the throne and even though He allowed me to go through that pain, I knew He had a plan and that He would be glorified through my loss.

You see, we are so selfish. It is all about how WE feel, what WE lose, what WE have to go through. Many times, we fail to see the “bigger picture. God’s plan for man must be fulfilled. The trials, loss and sadness of this life are but a grain of sand. Our eternity and the eternity of our fellow man is what really matters. Everything we go through is a part of our testimony. It is not wasted.

Yes, I lost a child.

So did my Daddy God.

Now from the sixth hour (noon) there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour (three o’clock).

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?–that is, My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me? – Matthew 27:45-46 (amplified)

He felt that disconnection and loss when He sacrificed His ONLY Son, so that we could spend eternity in paradise if we so choose. He knows how it feels to feel loss and pain. Can you imagine how sad they both felt to be cut off in that way? I can feel it in the depths of my soul when I read the above Scripture.

On the flip side; think about how God feels every time we reject Him, choose our flesh over Him, and walk away from Him…Yet…

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He even gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish but have eternal (everlasting) life. – John 3:16 (amplified)

Jesus walked a mile in my shoes. He came here and lived as a common man. He did not grow up with a silver spoon in His mouth. He lived a common life and loved each of us enough to die for us. He was whipped, spat on, beaten, ridiculed and hung to die for a crime He never committed…for you and me!

Even as Jesus HUNG on the cross, He loved us and spoke to His Father on our behalf. (see Luke 23:34)

So, when you are going through the junk of life, and when all else fails, remember this: YOU ARE INDEED LOVED!

For I am persuaded beyond doubt that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,

Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (amplified)

Do you KNOW??

Well, in case you missed my point…

YOU ARE LOVED!

Let’s Pray;

Daddy God, thank You for loving me. Thank You that even though I have to walk through valleys, You are right there with me, loving me all the way through. Thank You for that. I love You with all my heart. Lord, please help me to hold onto Your unfailing love when I am walking through darkness. Help me to see the light of Your love. Thank YOU! In Jesus MIGHTY Loving Name, Amen!

Homework:

Look up and meditate on the following Scriptures…

  • Psalm 136:26
  • 1 Peter 5:7
  • 1 John 4:9-10
  • Ephesians 3:16-21
  • Jeremiah 31:3
  • Ephesians 2:4-5
  • Psalm 36:5-7
  • John 15:9

Memorize: For I am persuaded beyond doubt that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (amplified)

This is such a beautiful message. I am happy that God lead me to read it this morning. I am grappling with understanding God’s love for us; not just me, us. Yes, God loves me, but not only me. He loves everyone. His love can never be described and we can never limit his power. I love reading messages like this because it shows me that I am not alone and that God is always with me. Thank you again. Tamara

Thank you Lara for this post. :-) I’m going to have to dust my Bible off and start reading it again. I will be working on a new post for MOF tomorrow.
