Totally Stressing out! :(
I could really use some prayers from my fellow Moms of Faith!
As you may know, I was on a business trip the last week of January to help promote Moms of Faith and grow our social media contacts. The trip was a success. However, when I arrived home, I discovered my main computer was broke. It was fine when I left…not fine when I returned. :(
This is a very big deal since EVERYTHING is on that computer…
I had to download free trials of the software I use just to get by because all of the files and programs I use for Moms of Faith are on said computer. :(
I researched what the possible issues could be, and then took it to Geek Squad with some knowledge already in my arsenal. It was the worst of the two main problems it could be…the motherboard is fried. In order to fix it I will need $300. Almost $200 + tax + shipping for part, and $50 to have Geek Squad install it. ACK! :(
So, I could use some prayers. PLEASE pray that God not only provide the money as soon as possible, (we are already in week two now), but that I am able to still work out ways to do my MOF things while I do not have access to my other computer.
The REAL bad news is that all of my Bible Study segments are on there as well.
My current “Call to Holiness” study is on there. :( Lesson D was supposed to go out last week. I have asked for patience from my participants and so far so good. However, I know time is running out, and to have to refund everyone would NOT help my situation at all! Please pray that the participants are understanding and patient while I work this out.
Today, just now actually, I was hit with another major blow. The Proverbs 31 and Beyond study I was so proud that I had saved to disk is IN THE COMPUTER! The disk will NOT come out! I am totally stressing. We are praying hard and I am trying to focus. However, I am human and this is high stress for me right now…
I will need the computer fixed before I can retrieve anything…otherwise spend $100 to do hard drive transfer…which would be dumb, because that would make more money going out! AH! :(
I have tried everything I can think of to raise money through advertising specials on Moms of Faith to my web design site. Nothing yet, and I do not even have half of it from my own pocket.
Anyway, lesson learned. SAVE everything externally!

Computer problems are so frustrating! I’ve had similar problems as well.
I just found your website today and have found some of the things you’ve wrote so uplifting. Exactly what I needed to hear and read. God led me to it!
But I’ve been thinking about it, and I think that there have to be at least 30 people that read this. And if each one of us sends over $10 – then you’d have your money for the repair! Maybe you’ve already had donations so you’d even need less.
I’ve looked on your website for a donation type button – but can’t find anything. Could you provide information (paypal e-mail?) in case someone wants to help with your cost? Even if it’s $5?

You are SO sweet, Alicia! :) Unfortunately, I have learned over the years to never ever ask my readers for money! LOL! I am always left feeling stupid and they do not seem to like it when I do. :-\ As far as donation button. Hmmm. Never thought of that! I do not work with Pay Pal at this time though…

Praying for your financial situation and your computer problems. Hopefully you will get some new advertisers this month. I can totally relate to the PC problems. They have a mind of their own for sure! :( Hope it all works out. ((( HUGS )))
