Stop Being Stubborn
The Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of His love. And He chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today. Therefore, change your hearts, and stop being stubborn. – Deuteronomy 10:15-16
Make no mistake, my dear sister, you and I are chosen. We are grafted into this promise (Romans 11:7) by the precious Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We were chosen before the foundations of the earth (Ephesians 1:4). Being chosen by the Almighty God is an amazing feeling. Knowing that He loves us so very much and that He chose us–even knowing all the mistakes and junk that would come with us… He STILL chose…
Stop being stubborn.
Knowing how He feels about us. Knowing His great love for each of us. Knowing all that He has done, is doing, and will do for us…
Knowing all of this should be enough to cause us to rid ourselves of stubbornness, and DO what He called us to do. Knowing all of this should help us to live obedient lives. Knowing all this should make us desire to be all that He created us to be.
So, rather than make excuses, let’s just…
Stop being stubborn!
Father God, thank You for loving me and saving me. Forgive me for any willful sin in my heart. Forgive me for being stubborn at times, and not begin quick to obey You. Thank You for always having my best in mind. I love You, Lord. Help me to never forget the price that was paid for my salvation. Help me to never walk in habitual sin. Thank You. In Jesus’ MIGHTY, Loving, and Saving Name, Amen!
