God wants three things from us... Before I begin, let me start with saying, we cannot earn God's love. It is a free gift. However, the Lord would like 3 things from us. He does not need them to be happy--WE need them to walk straight, be happy, fulfilled, and in peace. Have You said "I DO" to God? "I DO" stands for Intimacy, Dependence and Obedience. Intimacy: What is intimacy? intimacy (from World English Dictionary) - Close or warm friendship or understanding; personal relationship. On the flip side: aloneness, antagonism, disunion, isolation, opposition, rivalry, seclusion, separation, solitude. The Daily – Christian Clichés
We have all heard them, you know the cliché phrases that Christians like to say when they are too busy to stop and care, the topic is just too hard, or your issue is beyond their understanding. Today, however, I am sick of them. We just don’t care. Sure, we have sympathy, empathy and feel compassion … [Read more...]
The Daily – Yet Another Peace Promise…
While I was mulling over what to write about today, the Lord brought me to this Scripture... When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. - Proverbs 16:7 At first glance, we may miss something. However, if we take a minute to think about what this verse is saying, we may be surprised! If we live our lives for the Lord, we know through His Word that there are MANY promises we can and will receive. However, this is an amazing promise of peace... ...He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. It is hard enough to remain in peace with our loved ones, spouses, friends, co-workers and sisters & brothers in Christ. Yet, if our lives are lived for the Lord and our walk (because of our obedience) is pleasing to Daddy God, EVEN OUR ENEMIES will be at peace with us! I find this to be incredible! Living in peace with ANYONE can be difficult if you are in relationship with them for a long period of time. To have the kind of peace … [Read more...]
