The Daily – Yet Another Peace Promise…

While I was mulling over what to write about today, the Lord brought me to this Scripture…

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. – Proverbs 16:7

At first glance, we may miss something. However, if we take a minute to think about what this verse is saying, we may be surprised!

If we live our lives for the Lord, we know through His Word that there are MANY promises we can and will receive. However, this is an amazing promise of peace

…He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

It is hard enough to remain in peace with our loved ones, spouses, friends, co-workers and sisters & brothers in Christ. Yet, if our lives are lived for the Lord and our walk (because of our obedience) is pleasing to Daddy God, EVEN OUR ENEMIES will be at peace with us!

I find this to be incredible!

Living in peace with ANYONE can be difficult if you are in relationship with them for a long period of time. To have the kind of peace mentioned in this Scripture would be fantastic!

However, as with all of God’s promises, there is a doing on our part. Obedience is required. We must CHOOSE to live for Him and obey His precepts. Not only for the promises, but because of our love and appreciation for all that He is, all that He did and does for us! How could we NOT want to walk with our Lord and submit our lives to Him??

Let’s pray;

Daddy God, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the promises that Your Word holds for me. Thank You for all that You are, all that You do for me every day and all that You have done for me. Thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son so that I may have right relationship with You and walk in victory! I love You, Daddy! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Homework:

Look up the word “peace” and find five Scriptures that speak to YOUR circumstances. Write them out, meditate on them and dig deeper.

Memorize: When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. – Proverbs 16:7
