He Makes All Things New
This was a wonderful study for me and I hope that you get the treasure of what it means to have a loving God, Who Makes ALL Things New!
Do not remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now, it springs forth; do you not know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18-19
Let’s take a deeper look into the meanings of some of these words.
The original Hebrew word for consider is biyn (bene) and means to separate mentally. This means ignore, overlook, and disregard.
New – chadash (khaw-dawsh’): fresh, new thing, to rebuild, renew. I also looked this up in the thesaurus and found; restore, fix, repair, and reconstruct!
Rivers – nahar (naw-har’) or nehar (neh-har’): to sparkle, be cheerful, to flow, be lightened. According to the Webster’s dictionary and thesaurus, lightened means; to make lighter the weight, to lessen the load, to make less burdensome, to cheer or gladden, perk up, revive, and uplift.
Now, let’s reread the Scripture using these meanings.
Ignore and disregard yesterday.
Behold, I am doing a fresh thing, I am rebuilding, fixing, and restoring you. Now, it springs forth; do you not know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and revive you and lighten your burdens.

He Makes ALL Things New! (Revelation 21:5)
We need to get over yesterday and step into the spring of today. The newness of each day. Every day is a new beginning. Every day is a chance to be better than the day before.
That’s not even the best part! The best part is that HE…yes…Daddy God makes it new! HE fixes us! HE restores us! HE heals us! HE rebuilds where others have torn down! HE lightens our burdens! HE uplifts us! HE makes us glad! We just need to LET Him do HIS job!
His Word tells us that HE does all this. So, when we have bad days…have been hurt…failed miserably…remember…
HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW!
I do not believe that we even have to wait for a new day to come! Every minute is new. Every second before is things of OLD! Live each minute NEW! Let God restore you and gladden your heart. You are not alone. Daddy is waiting with open arms to MAKE ALL…not some…ALL THINGS NEW!!
WHOO HOO! I could dance right now! Couldn’t you??? I mean WOW! As if He has not done enough…He wants every minute of our lives new…fresh…glad…and filled with hope and restoration!

Let’s Pray;
Daddy God, thank YOU! Thank YOU for making all things new. Thank You that You love me and only want the very best for me. Thank You that I do not have to hold onto yesterday’s mistakes…or even minutes ago. Thank You for forgiveness and restoration. Thank You for this knowledge and the VICTORY that is can bring. You are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise! You are an awesome and MIGHTY God. I am in awe of You. Thank You for calling me Your very own and never leaving me, even for a second. THANK YOU! PRAISE YOU! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen!
Your Homework:
Read and Study the following Scriptures
- Lamentations 3:22-23
- 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
- Ephesians 4:24
- Revelation 21:5
And, make a POINT to recognize when that little slime ball, your enemy, comes and tries to convince you to hold onto yesterday’s hurts, failures, and disappointments. Then, PUT him in his place…UNDER your feet!
