The Sermon on the Mount – Do unto others…

<–back to The Sermon on the Mount

Matthew 7:12

So then, whatever you desire that others would do to and for you, even so do also to and for them, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

What a different world it would be if everyone treated others the way they wanted to be treated….

We can make a difference! We can obey God’s Word and start behaving like children of the Most High. If we would just begin to see others the way God sees them and treat them in the same manner that we would like to be treated, there would be a radical change in the Church and in this world.

What do I mean?

  • The next time your asked to lunch by a sister in Christ that you are not too fond of, get over your self and treat her the way you would want to be treated!
  • Have you ever needed forgiveness? The next time a wrong is done to you, let it go and forgive.
  • Have you ever needed mercy? The next time your husband forgets a special date, show him mercy.
  • Have you ever needed financial provision? The next time you see that homeless man begging for change, buy him a sandwich that you would eat. You’ll see a look in his eyes that will make your heart melt.
  • Have you ever needed healing? Take the time to pray for others who need healing.
  • Become the kind of friend you would like to have.
  • Become the kind of person that you would like to know.
  • Become the kind of Mother you wish you had.
  • Take the time to really see people and their needs.

When we do these things we will sow seeds that will one day sprout and blossom into blessings in our lives. So, instead of praying for more friends, your husband to change, your finances to flourish, your children to love God, and all the other prayers that we like to pray…..Change your heart and attitude…

Become what you desire!

Let’s Pray,

Daddy God, thank You for sending Your Son to die for me. Help me to become a thankful, loving, forgiving, merciful and compassionate person. Help me to let my light shine brightly in this dark and evil world. Help me to become all that I desire in people. Help me to become more like Your Precious Son. Thank You, Daddy. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

In His Love and Service,

Lara ;)
