Faith and Business 101: Check-Up

For those of you who have faithfully been reading my column, I’m honored to be a part of your life each week! My prayer is that you will find something in this column every Friday to help you grow– as a child of God, a mother, and a business woman. My personal prayer each day is that God would give me wisdom to go about my life and my business in such a way that honors Him.

Consider the following verses from Proverbs:

“For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.

These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths. They take pleasure in doing wrong, and they enjoy the twisted ways of evil. Their actions are crooked, and their ways are wrong.” – Proverbs 2:5-15 NLT

Let’s have a little check-up! Are you seeking the Lord for wisdom in your life and business decisions? Have you found an accountability partner yet? What is holding you back from being all that God wants for you to be…in life and in business?

Here’s your Faith and Business 101 assignment for this week: Leave me a comment letting me know how you are doing. How are things going for you as you juggle motherhood and business? Do you have any questions that I might answer? Are there any particular subjects you would like to see addressed in an upcoming column?

Until Next Time…

Thanks, MariLee. You know, I am wondering if perhaps it would serve everyone well to agree to a prayer meeting; virtually speaking. If most of us do not have an accountability partner, perhaps it would be beneficial to set up a day and time where virtual partners pray for (or with – over the phone) one another – for family and business, etc. Just a thought…

Shara – Moms of Faith forums has a special chat room for members. If you join the message boards and your other Christian Mom friends you can start a prayer meeting there and it is private. Only MOF members. :)
