Faith and Business 101: Check-Up

For those of you who have faithfully been reading my column, I’m honored to be a part of your life each week! My prayer is that you will find something in this column every Friday to help you grow– as a child of God, a mother, and a business woman. My personal prayer each day is that God would give me wisdom to go about my life and my business in such a way that honors Him.

Consider the following verses from Proverbs:

“For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.

These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths. They take pleasure in doing wrong, and they enjoy the twisted ways of evil. Their actions are crooked, and their ways are wrong.” – Proverbs 2:5-15 NLT

Let’s have a little check-up! Are you seeking the Lord for wisdom in your life and business decisions? Have you found an accountability partner yet? What is holding you back from being all that God wants for you to be…in life and in business?

Here’s your Faith and Business 101 assignment for this week: Leave me a comment letting me know how you are doing. How are things going for you as you juggle motherhood and business? Do you have any questions that I might answer? Are there any particular subjects you would like to see addressed in an upcoming column?

Until Next Time…

Hmmm…Maybe you can do a specific topic series. Not sure what…maybe social media, list building, etc. Whatever…I mean others may have better ideas. LOL

What about help with using google analytics? Is this something you are familiar with? I know enough to get me in trouble : )

    Happy Halloween!

Always love all your stuff! Haven’t found a partner yet, no one close that I can use, still need someone though! Sad to say with being sick and so busy I have let my devotions slide :( Thanks for the reminder to step it up!!!!

Also wanted to let you know that I’m starting a book study each Sunday on my blog for the book Created to Be His Help Meet by Debbi Pearl. I think it might be something the Mom partners would enjoy, so if you could help me get the word out that would be wonderful! :D

Just received this message from Melissa:

“I just posted in response to your blog but it said your server was full? Here’s what I posted:

The Lord told me to stop and focus on my kids last month. Both my kids were struggling with unique issues. I just loved on them and ignored email, Twitter, queries, etc. when they were awake. I even went to school every day to help my 7 year old.

I feel like my kids are thriving. Now, I need to figure out how to keep being an attentive mom and still work. Today, I’m praying about how I can balance. I can’t do it all. What are my priorities? What has to go? (Twitter?) I need some systems in place for my time so work doesn’t bleed into my time with my family. Any suggestions on that would be great!

    Thanks,
    Melissa”
