The Daily – Yielded

In order for us to become properly developed and on the path of spiritual adulthood, we must be totally and completely yielded to the Lord. In order for us to develop properly, our spirit must be in unity with God’s.

We, as Mothers, should understand this more than anyone. We want our children to be properly developed, healthy and grow up to be well rounded adults. In order for that to happen, we must feed them, cloth them, train them and guide them. We are here to help them become all they were meant to be.

Daddy God feels the same…even more, about US! We are HIS children and He wants US to be properly developed, healthy, well rounded daughters who have the wisdom and spiritual maturity to fulfill His purpose for us.

The ONLY way for this to happen is if we are yielded to the Holy Spirit. Walking IN the spirit. Totally submitted to God.

How can we do this?

There are several things that help us move towards spiritual adulthood.

Know His Word. We need to be in the Word daily. No excuses. We would not go a day without stuffing our faces with food. We should look at our spiritual life the same way. We need to develop a HUNGER for God’s Word. The ONLY way this can happen is if we are IN His Word. Once we are in it regularly, we will want to remain there. We will look forward to it because there is nothing but LIFE within the pages! I encourage you to not just read it, but to meditate on it and mull it over throughout your day.

Jesus should be magnified in our lives. We should be loving others, following the path that Jesus laid before us, and sharing His sacrifice with others through the conduct of our lives.

Worshiping and Praising  His Holy Name. Listen and sing out praises. Let the praises to God fill your lips and be constant in your heart.

Walking in thanksgiving. Thank Him. Thank Him for all the blessings in your life…both big and small. Take the time to notice all the good things God brings to your life from a good parking place to a roof over your head! Walk in THANKSGIVING!

What Keeps us from Growing up?

The flesh. We choose to do our own thing. We choose rebellion over submission.

Time. We fill up our time with useless activities and mundane tasks.

Sin. When we are walking in deliberate sin, it will keep us from the Lord. Yes, HE is ALWAYS there, however, we CAN and many times DO walk away from Him. Sometimes just a few steps and sometimes we move to another hemisphere.

The Cure:

Submit to God.

Resist your flesh and the devil.

Repent of sin.

Make time with God your MAIN priority.

Our days are numbered, ladies. Let us live them in accordance with God’s Will and be living examples before our children.

Put God First and YIELD to HIS Will.

Let’s pray;

Daddy God, thank You for Your Word. You are worthy of all glory, honor and praise! Help me to walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lusts of my flesh. Help me to train my children and live a life of obedience to You before them. Help them to see me follow You. Help me. I want to walk in a way that brings glory to Your Name and allows me to fulfill the purpose You have for me. I want to obey the Will and Words of My Daddy! In Jesus Mighty Name, amen.
