Changing the Way You Think

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2

There are many ways that we can dig into this Scripture. It really is a meaty bit of Word. However, we will stick to the “transformation” portion.

You see, God has such a great plan for our lives. He wants to bring each of His children to their full capacities. However, He can only do that when we leave our worldly thinking behind, and allow Him to transform us by changing the way we think.

The cool thing about our Daddy God though, is that He is the perfect gentleman. He will not force us, or drag us into His will kicking and screaming. We must come to Him, and let Him to work in us. We must submit to His will and read His Word, so that we can renew our minds.

Sadly, this world goes against everything our King stands for, so the ONLY way we can truly overcome this world, and be all that God designed us to be, is to study the Word of God and let Him change our way of thinking!

I’m not going to sugarcoat it: It is HARD to renew your mind. We are bombarded every day–all day long–with worldly, selfish, ungodly, and immoral bologna. It can cause the strongest of women to crumble! However, AS WE CHOOSE to walk with God, read His Word every day, and let Him to change our way of thinking, it WILL get easier. I am speaking from experience. It is never perfect. However, the more of God that I let in me, the less ick comes out. The more Word I read, the less world I believe. The more I let God, the less I want anything this world has to offer. I am no different than you! Let Daddy renew and change your way of thinking!

Let’s Pray:

Father God, thank You for loving me, and leaving Your life-giving Word for me. Thank You that all I have to do is to let You work in my heart, and You will help me become the woman You designed me to be. Thank You for never leaving me and always loving me. Thank You for always only wanting the best for my life–even when I do not see it. Help me to renew my mind, Lord. Help me to become Kingdom-minded and let go of worldly thinking. Help me to see Your path clearly, and run from any wrong paths! I love You, Daddy. Thank You for all that You are to me! I could not imagine my life without You! In Jesus’ MIGHTY Name, amen!
