The main questions I get asked all the time about my work from home jobs are, "What do you do?" and "What can I do to make money from home?" This is always slightly tricky to answer, as I do have a few work from home jobs, they all bring in monthly income, and I love them. The tricky part comes into the fact that they all (nearly) fell into my lap. As I mentioned in my networking post--even in the world of working from home, as in the workforce outside the home, many times it is all about who you know! In answer to the second question I always turn it around on the person. The question is, "What CAN you do?" A good place to start is to take a few moments and list all of your talents, education, and qualification. Faith and Business 101: Pinning Your Way To A New Social Network
If you haven't heard of Pinterest, you will now. It's the newest and fastest growing social networking platform to hit the US since its launch in May 2011. Pinterest is an online pin board where a user curates photos, images or videos of things they like and share them on boards. Like other social networking sites, you have followers and people who comment on your pins. Anyone can join, but you can't just go to their site and sign up. You can request an invite as stated on their website or snag an invite from someone who's already using Pinterest. Once you receive your Pinterest invite, you can log in using your FaceBook or Twitter account. As with any social networking site, you should complete your profile with your real name. Multi-Level marketing company consultants, work-from-home businesses with more than one person in it, mom business owners with a Virtual Assistant, and Virtual Assistants all have at least one thing in common. That one thing is that they have to redefine normal meeting scenarios because they operate under a total different structure than a brick office building with a conference room does. Meetings, touching base, and everything that entails are still vitally important in each of these scenarios, however. Without regular interaction on a face-to-face level things can become frustrating and miscommunication easily happens. When your team is in multiple states the option of getting together is just not possible, however. Thankfully there are so many great options these days to solve this problem!
