The Moms of Faith Handbook for Moments of Boredom (part 2)! You are not going to believe this. This week has been an interesting trip. One I never expected to venture on when I proposed the notion to “send me all your ideas” about what to do when you hear your kids complain, “Mom! I’m Bored!” (See Mom’s Handbook for Boredom - part one) Instead of boredom, remember this: "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalms 37:4 Not only did you all manage to come up with some cool stuff, I noticed something else. Many comments expressed memories of what our parents told us when we complained to them that we were bored! That is something I didn’t consider. 26 Winter Break and Christmas Craft Tips
With the kids home from school for a couple weeks for winter break, I though it would be a great opportunity to share some great craft tips for Christmas and winter season. Please feel free to share some of your own tips as well! :) Quick Christmas and Winter Craft Tips 1. For a fun Christmas ornament, get a Styrofoam ball and using sequin pins attach sequin a variety of colors. A hairpin stuck at the top makes it easy to hang on your tree. 2. Old Christmas cards can be turned into great ornaments. Just some ribbon and glitter is all that’s required. Punch a whole in the top and you’re ready to go. 3. Christmas Craft Ideas for Dad: Decorate a golf ball and turn it into an ornament or how about making a golf ball wreath? 4. Winter break is almost here and that means kids are going to be out of school looking for things to do during the winter school break. Some will settle for sleeping in, eating, sitting in front of the tube or staying connected with an electronic gadget of some sort.
