Want to know the biggest secret about working from home? It's WORK! In fact, in my opinion it's a whole lot more work than a "normal" job ever would be. This, of course, will not be the case for every job or everyone's experience but in my personal life it is definitely the case! I think a common misconception is that working from home is either extremely easy or it goes to the other end of the spectrum where people consider it so hard and so rare that everything labeled "work at home" must be associated with some kind of scam. I've found that all the real work from home jobs don't fall into either category. In my personal experience my "regular" jobs all required me to show up, clock in, and work.
